🚗 Here we have a Ford Mondeo 2.5 petrol (2004 – 137,669 miles) booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean. The owner had recently purchased it and wanted to get it running sweetly again and checked for any issues.
🔎 Initial inspection in the engine bay found little of note with no excessive rattles or leaks, but a tell tale bass purr to the engine.
💻 Initial diagnostics found historic codes for Intake Manifold Runner Control issue and some other codes relating to transmission and ABS. Whilst these cleared and did not return the IMRC code did reappear – something the owner can get looked at.
📊 Live data showed data looking good across the board with good temperatures maintained during the thermostat tests.
👨🔧 On with the clean and the bass note in the engine soon dissipated as it smoothed out and by the end the response returned and was quiet and smooth.
