⚠️ Running issues? Vehicle not as quiet, smooth, responsive or economical as it used to be?
🚗 Here we have a BMW 320i petrol (2013 – 52,440 miles) booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean after some recent running issues and having to be recovered. Having had a recent repair and a hiccup since the repair the owner wanted it diagnosed and cleaned up. As it is under warranty he also wanted the rest of the vehicle checked.
🔎 Initial inspection of the engine bay found little of note apart from a slightly noisy auxiliary belt pulley. No obvious leaks or rattles, but a tell tale bass purr to the engine.
💻 Initial diagnostics showed some historic codes for the recent work performed and the time/date and mileage stamp confirmed they were logged when the breakdown occurred. We documented the issues for the owner as he wanted to return to the garage to confirm they had all been addressed.
📊 Live diagnostics showed all data looking good with no issues present and all sensors and values within range.
👨🔧 On with the clean and the engine soon smoothed out and quietened down and by the end was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
