📝 ‘Fantastic service. My 2013 BMW 1 series felt a bit sluggish and with 98k miles on the clock I thought I’d give this a go. Having used the company previously on another BMW I knew the difference it could make. Adrian was very help and knowledgeable! He sent me the diagnostic report and explained what a couple of the codes meant. He said the engine on the car was very good! (Relief). The process took about 45 mins and I took it for a drive after. There is a noticeable difference in the car! The revs are not as high in gears 1 and 2 and I can get more out of those gears now (it’s an M sport!). And it’s has its power back. 🚗 Here we have a BMW 120d (2013 – 97,723 miles) booked in for diagnostic consultation and Engine Carbon Clean.
ℹ️ The owner had used us on a previous vehicle and wanted us to investigate for issues and clean up the engine.
🔎 Initial inspection found no major issues in the engine bay, but a tell tale background vibration and a bass note from the carbon present. There was also a rattle on idle from the exhaust.
💻 Initial diagnostics showed no engine codes, but lots of historic codes logged in other parts of the car. We documented and cleared these for the owner.
📊 Live data monitoring showed most live data looking OK, but coolant temperature ever so slightly lower at 87-88°C despite being stress tested, but thankfully only dropping to 83°C when tested.
👨🔧 On with the clean and the engine soon smoothed out and quietened down and by the end it was much quieter, smooth and responsive again.
