Here we have an Audi A5 3.0 TDI booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean.
⚠️ The owner had some issues with the DPF light coming on frequently and the temperature showing 60-70°C. VW Group vehicles usually sit rock solidly at 90°C once warmed up.
📊 Diagnostics showed a number of issues in the code history which we documented for the owner and then cleared and monitored. The low temperature is likely down to a sticking thermostat. The active code for engine mount solenoid open circuit was back on immediately. The glow plug code will likely reappear the next time there was a cold start.
⚙️ On with the clean and the bass rumble subsided quickly, the engine smoothed out and quietened down and the response had returned by the finish.
