🚗 Here we have a Volvo V40 D2 (2016 – 62,493 miles) booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean after some intermittent gear changing issues, slowly declining MPG and not quite having the oomph it used to have.
📊 Initial diagnostics showed some error codes for lost communication between the engine and the gearbox which explains the shifting issues and the owner can now get those looked at.
Live data for the engine systems all looked fine so on with the clean.
⚙️ The initial bass note subsided and the responsiveness returned within the first 30 minutes of the clean and by the end it was quiet, smooth and responsive again and fuel economy back up.
