⚠️ Vehicle not as quiet, smooth, responsive or economical as it used to be?
🚗 Here we have a much loved Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTI (2009 – 101,043 miles). Owned for a long time it had done limited mileage over the last 9 years and lots of short journeys and hence cold mileage had taken its toll on the performance. Having been referred to us by his garage we came to bring it back to life again.
🔎 Initial inspection found little of note and a few historic issues to do with a low battery event and a brake light were all that was present. There was a significant vibration and rumble from the engine due to the buildup present and it was running lumpy.
📊 Live data looked fine across the board so on with the clean.
👨🔧 On with the clean and the engine noise quietened considerably. The owner went inside part way through and commented that usually he would hear the vehicle from inside, but now couldn’t until he came outside. By the end it was transformed and much quieter, the lumpiness gone and smooth again.
