đ Here we have a Vauxhall Astra GTC 2.0 (2015 – 84,341 miles) booked in for diagnostic consultation and Engine Carbon Clean.
âšī¸ The owner had put approx 20,000 miles on it since he purchased it and having tried various cleans on previous vehicles called us to get to work on this one.
đ Initial inspection found no apparent issues in the engine bay with no rattles or leaks, just a bass note indicating the carbon present.
đģ Initial diagnostics showed some old historic codes for engine overspeed, EGR control circuit, exhaust gas temperature sensors and codes for the fronts parking sensors when the bumper had been briefly removed.
đ Live data monitoring showed all data looking fine with coolant temperature at 93°C, DPF values showing good average regeneration distances and it was likely due a regeneration on the next journey. Very nice injector fuelling and all other data looking spot on.
đ¨âđ§ On with the clean and the engine soon smoothed out and really quietened down and by the end it was quieter, smooth and responsive again.
