đ Here we have a recently purchased Mini Cooper SD (2014 â 73,760 miles) booked in for diagnostic consultation and Engine Carbon Clean.
âšī¸ The owner has used us before on another vehicle so knew who to call with this acquisition.
đ Initial inspection found no apparent issues in the engine bay with no rattles or leaks, just a bass note from the carbon present.
đģ Initial diagnostics showed 3 codes in the engine section – glow plugs 1 and 2 activation and a short circuit for the intelligent battery sensor. These along with the other codes present in the rest of the car were documented for the owner.
đ Live data monitoring showed all data looking fine with coolant temperature at 87-93°C, DPF values showing low back pressure and recent regeneration (33 miles ago) and all other data looking good also.
đ¨âđ§ On with the clean and the engine soon smoothed out and quietened down and by the end it was quieter, smooth and responsive again.
