Here we have a Mercedes Vito (2004 – 466,027 miles) booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean after racking up enough mileage to go to the 🌛 and almost back again.
Having had the vehicle in the family since new this one was in need of our TLC.
📊 Initial diagnostics showed 83 codes collected over the years (current and historic) which is high, but nowhere near the record of 122 we have seen.
Once documented and cleared just 5 current issues were present – all 4 glow plug circuit codes and one of the front parking sensors.
⚙️ On with the clean and with the mileage on this one there was a considerable bass note and vibration to the vehicle. We ran this one for an hour until it was quiet, smooth and responsive again with the sound of the turbo coming back again and the engine back to a nice crisp response.
