🚗 Here we have a Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI (2014 – 67,490 miles) booked in for diagnostic consultation and Engine Carbon Clean.
ℹ️ No apparent running issues apart from lower than expected fuel economy and a noisy engine. The owner had used us before on his previous vehicle and wanted to get it checked out and cleaned up for preventative maintenance.
🔎 Initial inspection found no apparent issues in the engine bay with no rattles or leaks, just a bass note from the carbon present.
💻 Initial diagnostics again showed some historic low voltage codes from a low battery event and a rear driver side window motion/position sensor permanent error. The codes were documented and cleared and just the window sensor one returned.
📊 Live data monitoring showed all data looking fine with coolant temperature at 93°C, DPF values showing approx 20% soot and all other data looking spot on.
👨🔧 On with the clean and the engine soon smoothed out and quietened down and by the end it was quieter, smooth and responsive again.

I had just bought this car I had no issues with it except slow performance and returning 39.6 mpg which I just put down to the size of the car, I have used this company before and was very happy with the service on the golf.
Adrian had messaged night before and 45mins before arrival and was on time initial test thrown up some codes but nothing on engine so on with the clean I went for road test and found the car more responsive and was shocked to see 58mpg at 56mph and 49mpg at 70mph that is a huge saving at the pump and now with the extra performance I won’t need a remap which I was considering.
