đ Here we have a Ford Tourneo 2.0 TDCi (2017 – 88,895 miles) booked in by one of our regular Taxi customers.
âšī¸ Booked in for regular maintenance and with a recent issue being sluggish going up hills.
đ Initial inspection found little of note in the engine bay and no major rattles or vibration other than the usual rumble from carbon deposits.
đģ Initial diagnostics found a code for Low Pressure Fuel System Pressure – Too Low which may well explain the sluggishness when under load. The vehicle was due in the garage shortly so we recommended the pump and filter checked. A couple of other historic codes which we documented and cleared.
đ Live data monitoring showed the EGR operating normally, DPF data showing typical values for soot levels and distance since the last regeneration and coolant temperature levels at 88°C and only dropping as far as 81°C when tested – thermostat operating normally.
đ¨âđ§ On with the clean and the vehicle soon smoothed out and quietened down all ready for the road ahead.
