⚠️ Just acquired a vehicle or like to keep on top of maintenance?
🚗 Here we have a BMW 320d (2010 – 186, 134 miles) booked in for diagnostic consultation and Engine Carbon Clean.
ℹ️ The owner had recently been gifted the car, but wanted it properly checked out to identify running issues and cleaned up ready for the road ahead.
❗The owner had already picked up on some potential DPF issues.
🔎 Initial inspection of the engine bay found little of note.
💻 Initial diagnostics showed plenty of code information, some active and some historic.
We documented the codes for the owner, cleared them down and monitored their reappearance over the following 30 minutes as we proceeded with the clean. Active codes included brake vacuum sensor, heated fuel filter, fan activation, battery sensor and DPF Pressure sensor amongst others.
📊 Live data monitoring showed no issues with injectors, thermostat, EGR, temperature sensors, etc., but the DPF pressure sensor was reading – 40mbar.
🧑🔧 On with the clean and now much quieter, smooth and responsive again.
The owner can now get the other issues resolved.
