Here we have a Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI (2016 – 75,482 miles) booked in for diagnostics consultation and Engine Carbon Clean.

ℹ️ Having used us on a previous vehicle he wanted to get this one checked out and cleaned up as he has a warranty he can utilise to fix any issues found.

Initial inspection found little of note in the engine bay with no obvious rattles or leaks, but a tell tale bass note present.

Initial diagnostics found multiple codes present throughout the vehicle for low voltage issues and also codes present for reference voltage levels.

Live data monitoring showed DPF regeneration values all good, EGR flow and movement fine and coolant nice and hot. We monitored the battery voltage and it was a little lower than expected with occasional spikes – this (along with the numerous low voltage codes) may suggest an issue with the voltage regulator – something he can now get checked.

‍On with the clean and the bass note soon subsided as the engine smoothed out and by the end was quiet, smooth and responsive again.

I had issues with my DPF on my 4.4 Range Rover so hot in touch with F5 and Leon came out to me to carry out a DPF clean. Not only did he tell me exactly what he was going to do but carried out a full diagnostic on my car just to see if there was any underlying issues other than dpf. He gave a really good explanation of the process as he checked all the boost pipes and inter coolers for leaks He couldn’t have been anymore friendly than he was and certainly knew his stuff. Dpf all unblocked and engine is back to normal. Couldn’t recommend F5 enough.

Just had my car done by F5ECC. Adrian talked me though how the process works. This is the second Merc I have had done by him in 2020. C250cdi and now a C350e sport. Noticed straight away more mpg. The car felt a lot smoother on acceleration. I was quite shocked at how much quicker and responsive the car was when I put it in sport+. I highly recomend having this done.
