Here we have a Peugeot 407 GT Coupé 3.0 (2006 – 79,497 miles) booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean.
ℹ️ The owner has used us on a previous vehicle and having just bought this one (with warranty) wanted to get it checked out and cleaned up.
Initial inspection of the engine bay found little of note.
Initial diagnostics found a number of codes present for suspension, bulbs, headlight washers, etc., but the main one of interest was relating to the Inlet Camshaft position sensor.
Live data monitoring showed all other live data looking fine and although a code kept reappearing for the camshaft position not known, the sensor was active and reporting values.
On with the clean and the engine soon smoothed out and quietened down and barring a little flutter at one point was smooth and quiet again by the end.
❗ We suggested the owner make the most of the warranty and get all the issues looked at asap.
