Here we have a returning customer with a recently acquired Audi A3 (2007 – 122,675 miles) booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean.
Although it drove OK on the day of purchase there have been issues on the daily commute since purchase
Diagnostics showed some historic codes for an injector valve and also an intake manifold runner which looks like it is hampering DPF regeneration. The DPF last attempted a regeneration 23 miles ago and frequent attempts to regenerate would explain the symptoms. Soot loading is still only at 39% and backpressure showed low enough to regenerate. We advised the customer to get the engine related issues rectified asap so that regeneration can recommence.
⚙️ We proceeded with the clean and by the end the vehicle was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
