π Vauxhall Combo 1.3 CDTi (2010 β 79,731 miles)
πReason for booking in…
‘So the van just feels a bit clogged up and stutters occasionally when pulling off. So rather than me guessing what it is Iβm hoping a good clean up would help.’
The owner had only bought it a week prior and was assured there were no issues present and it had been serviced prior to sale.
π Initial inspection found no obvious issues in the engine bay with no excessive rattles and shakes, but a lot of vibration from the carbon present.
π Initial code read found permanent codes for…
P0100-4 Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage High
P0110-4 Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input
plus some other historic codes the owner now has documented and cleared where possible.
π Live data showed values for coolant about 5Β° down on where they should be (lazy thermostat), but injectors, etc., all looking acceptable. The only other point of note in the live data was the oil level was showing as low and requiring an oil service.
π§βπ§ On with the clean and it soon smoothed out, quietened down a lot and by the end it was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
The owner can now get the MAF sensor sorted out, an oil service performed and potentially a new thermostat.
