❗ EGR Cooler issues with this BMW 320d

Here we have a BMW 320D (2011 – 105, 104 miles) booked in for diagnostic consultation and Engine Carbon Clean.
ℹ️ The owner bought it 2 months ago (with warranty) and having used us previously got us to assess and clean it up.
Initial inspection found no major issues in the engine bay, but there was the usual vibration, rumble and lack of response from the carbon present.
Initial diagnostics showed just 2 codes present since purchase (where they were likely wiped). One of these consistently reappeared within 10 minutes of clearing and needs addressing with the warranty company – EGR Cooler plausibility.
Live data monitoring showed data looking OK with coolant temperature at 95°C, good injector fuelling and good fuel pressures, recent regeneration and EGR flow and movement all OK.
On with the clean and the engine soon smoothed out and quietened down and by the end it was much quieter, smooth and responsive again.
