⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ‘Contacted Adrian to have a look at my Focus, he managed to squeeze me in within the week having moved some bookings to accommodate me. On arrival, he quickly hooked up the diagnostics and provided me detailed information on the codes the car was throwing back as well as identifying that the temperature was not up to scratch and a new thermostat was needed.
I opted for the carbon clean to be done anyway and I’ve already noticed a difference in performance and fuel economy.
At the very end of the clean he even picked up that the EGR valve was not behaving and would be one to watch.
Adrian was professional throughout and checked in after a few days to see how I was getting on.

‘Owned it for about 3 months, no history with it so for it serviced straight away and I’m trying to get it up to scratch so it’ll last a couple of years. Engine management light came on last night on the dual carriageway, need to find the cause for that and I feel it’s a bit sluggish when I put my foot down. Also very loud when starting up first thing’
🔎 Initial inspection found no obvious issues in the engine bay with no rattles or shakes, but a fair amount of bass noise from the carbon buildup present and the EGR not sounding great when actuated.

🔎 Live data showed values for coolant to be in the low 70s, but other data including exhaust temps, EGR movement, etc. all looking acceptable.
🧑🔧 On with the clean and It soon smoothed out, quietened down and by the end it was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
