đ Here we have a BMW 118d (2013 – 90, 380 miles) booked in for diagnostic consultation and Engine Carbon Clean.
âšī¸ The owner had no major issues, but wanted us to investigate for issues and clean up the engine to help with fuel economy, etc.
đ Initial inspection found no major issues in the engine bay and running pretty well with just a small amount of bass note.
đģ Initial diagnostics showed no engine codes and just a few historic codes logged in other parts of the car. We documented and cleared these for the owner.
đ Live data monitoring showed all live data looking good with coolant temperature at 92-97°C when stress tested, good EGR movement and DPF regeneration working well.
đ¨âđ§ On with the clean and the engine soon smoothed out and quietened down and by the end it was quieter, smooth and responsive again.
