â ī¸ Identifying (and rectifying) the underlying issue in time is key to ensure a DPF doesn’t block up.
đ Here we have a Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI (2011 – 42,599 miles) booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean after we saw it recently for diagnostics due to a DPF problem.
âšī¸ On the day we diagnosed (and replaced and most importantly recalibrated) the DPF Pressure Sensor with a genuine part and since then it has regenerated and performed as it should.
đ Initial diagnostics showed no recurrence of the DPF issue and will some known intermittent issues documented and cleared on the day we then looked at the live data.
đ Live data looked fine and with recent regeneration success logged and all temperatures looking fine we proceeded with the clean.
đ¨âđ§ A tell tale bass purr was present (as we had noted at the previous booking) and this soon diminished as we got further into the clean. By the end the crisp response was back along with a quieter smooth engine.
đ ‘Just had our Kuga’s engine carbon cleaned and the difference in performance is very noticeable, great job done as always âââââ’
