πŸ™‹Reason for booking in…
‘Engine Management Light has come on and local garage has said its a DPF issue’

πŸ”Ž Initial inspection found no obvious issues in the engine bay apart from a tell tale rumble in the engine from the carbon present.

πŸ“Š Initial code read found…
Code for P24C7:00 – EC Particulate Matter Sensor Temperature Circuit Range/Performance

πŸ”Ž Live data showed acceptable coolant temperature in the 90s and DPF data indicating the DPF wasn’t blocked with a value of 33%. All other data for EGR and injectors looked fine, but the Exhaust Temperature Sensor 3 (downstream of the DPF) was maxed out and flatlined.

πŸ§‘β€πŸ”§ We proceeded with and Engine Carbon Clean and it soon smoothed out, quietened down and by the end it was quiet, smooth and responsive again.

❗ The particulate matter sensor downstream of the DPF can now be checked and replaced to eliminate the engine management light.
