🙋Reason for booking in…‘The car is very slow to respond/lacks power when trying to accelerate, when going up/down gears when over taking slow moving vehicles.’
🔎 Initial inspection found no obvious issues in the engine bay with no excessive rattles and shakes, but a tell tale bass purr from the engine from the carbon present.
📊 Initial code read found….cylinder 4 combustion misfires
🔎 Live data showed all values on the day looking acceptable with no misfires at idle, temperatures as expected, etc.
🧑🔧 On with the clean and It soon smoothed out, quietened down and by the end it was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
❗ The owner can now start to run better fuel and see if the misfires return. If so then start looking at the spark plug, coilpack and injector as next steps.
