🚗 Here we have a #BMW #120D (2007 – 212, 951 km) booked in for diagnostics and DPF investigation after the DPF light coming on and off repeatedly and the vehicle driving erratically.
📊 Diagnostics showed a number of DPF and DPF pressure sensor related codes as well as an EGR position sensor error. DPF pressure sensor readings were jumping up and down.
🕵️♂️ Investigation found the EGR continually opening and closing which correlated to the position sensor error and also explained the erratic pressure sensor issues on the DPF.
NO CLEAN on this one – the owner needs to get the faulty EGR looked at as a priority before the DPF blocks up due to regeneration being disabled.
