⚠️ Vehicle not as quiet, smooth, responsive or economical as it used to be?
🚗 Here we have a VW Transporter 2.0 TDI (92,929 miles) booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean. The owner had recently had a few issues with the EGR amongst others and after getting it all rectified called us in to give it a checkup and clean.
🔎 Initial inspection of the engine bay found little of note and only a moderate amount of bass note given the mileage.
💻 Initial diagnostics found some historic codes which we documented and cleared and none returned throughout the booking.
📊 Live data looked good across the board with DPF backpressure nice and low, 150km since the last regeneration, coolant temperatures staying steady above 86°C and injector showing a variance of 0.4 mg/stroke or less.
👨🔧 With everything looking fine it was on with the clean and the engine soon smoothed out and quietened down. With a clean bill of health this gives the current owner peace of mind.
