🚗 Here we have a Range Rover Evoque (2013 – 78,543 miles) booked in for diagnostic consultation and potential Engine Carbon Clean.
ℹ️ The owner assumed everything was fine as it had been serviced the week before with ‘no issues found’ and had also recently paid for some repairs to be performed to fix the air conditioning system.
🔎 Initial inspection found no obvious issues in the engine bay.
💻 Unfortunately diagnostics showed a number of permanent codes present which kept reappearing once cleared
– Engine Oil Temperature Sensor – Open Circuit
– 2 codes related to the air conditioning system
– a DAB antenna issue.
📊 Live data monitoring showed the coolant temperature spot on between 90-95°C, injectors and all other available data looking good, but no data from the dead oil temperature sensor.
❗ This needs repairing and should have been resolved at the service. The air conditioning issues had also not been resolved 😡
👨🔧 On with the clean and it soon smoothed out, quietened down and by the end it was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
