Diagnostic consultation and Engine Carbon Clean on an Audi A6 (2007 – 178,950 miles)

⚠️ Regular preventative maintenance is key to keeping your vehicle reliable and economical.

ℹ️ As deposits from burning fuel gather in an engine it will start to labour, vibrate more and not run as smoothly as a clean engine. To compensate it will start to overfuel – lowering fuel economy and raising emissions.

⛽ Over time this gets worse and worse costing you more at the pump, increased repair bills from putting additional vibration on ancillary components such as engine mounts or flywheels and raises emission levels causing issues at MOT.

⛽⛽ In a diesel especially these increased emission levels will cause a DPF to fill up faster, causing more frequent regenerations costing you again at the pump due to the excessive use of fuel during a regeneration.

👨‍🔧 Regular Engine Cleaning helps keep an engine quiet and smooth, combating the issues above.

Our third customer of the day realises this and was back today for a repeat clean on the same vehicle after we last saw this car back in 2017.

🚗 An Audi A6 (2007 – 178,950 miles) booked in for regular diagnostic consultation and Engine Carbon Clean. With more miles on the clock and with a long trip through Europe coming up the owner wanted to get it checked out and cleaned up again.

📊 Initial diagnostics showed 50 codes! All but 2 were linked to a low/disconnected battery event so we documented those for the owner and cleared them down. Live data looked good so on with the clean.

⚙️ After a couple of years mileage on this it had got louder again and was ready for another clean – now much quieter, smooth and responsive again.
