Here we have an Audi A4 2.0 TDI (2008 – 169,012 miles) booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean.
Booked in with an uneven idle and generally not as smooth, quiet, responsive and economical as it used to be.
📊 Diagnostics found little of note and after documenting and clearing the historic codes only one returned for the A/C recirculation flap motor. Temperatures looked a little cool initially, but soon warmed up to normal and all DPF data looked fine.
👨🔧 On with the clean and the engine soon quietened down and smoothed out (although it didn’t completely eliminate the uneven idle) and by the end was quiet, smoother and responsive again.
