🚗 Here we have a VW Golf 2.0 TDI (2010 – 94,059 miles) booked in for diagnostic consultation and Engine Carbon Clean.
ℹ️ No major running issues apart from a smelly exhaust and lower than expected overall performance. The owner had only recently purchased the vehicle and wanted to get it checked out and cleaned up for preventative maintenance.
🔎 Initial inspection found no apparent issues in the engine bay with no rattles or leaks, just a bass note from the carbon present. The smell from the exhaust had also diminished with the owner switching to a better fuel.
💻 Initial diagnostics again showed some historic codes for bulbs and heated seats which were documented and cleared for the owner.

👨🔧 On with the clean and the engine soon smoothed out and quietened down and by the end it was quieter, smooth and responsive again.
