đ Here we have a lovely 19 year old VW Golf 1.9 TDI (2000 – 158,742 miles booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean.
âšī¸ A recent acquisition for the owner who loves his VWs and given the age and mileage wanted to get it running sweetly again.
đđ Diagnostics showed some historic codes to do with a heated door mirror and a couple of other issues, but nothing in the engine section so on with the clean.
đ¨âđ§ Live data monitoring showed a slight overfuel on injector 4 which we monitored during the clean as it trimmed in and by the end was quiet, smooth and responsive again.

đŖī¸ ‘It’s driving so much better, smoother through the rev range, there used to be a bit of a flat spot when driving between 2000 and 3000 rpm, that’s entirely gone now and pulls as well as expected for its age. Idle is a lot smoother, it’s quieter, just need to take it on a good run to see if there’s a mpg increase đ overall though it feels so much better already, will definately be using you again at some point đđ’
đ ‘Just had my car carbon cleaned by Adrian in preperaton for the MOT, such a lovely knowledgeable chap. Straight to the point and went through every step of the process as he went through it. I’ve drove my car for around 30 minutes after the clean and instantly can tell a difference, its quieter, smoother, power delivery is a lot smoother. Well worth the money! For a 19 year old car, it had a couple of minor faults, none mechanical, and he cleaned the fault codes up for me. All in all 10/10 service, highly recommended!’
