Here we have a Vauxhall Astra GTC 1.7d (2012 – 70,547 miles) booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean due to sometimes cutting out, lack of acceleration, the DPF light coming on with grey/white smoke and poor MPG.
📊 Initial diagnostics identified some spurious codes in other sections of the vehicle unrelated to the symptoms displayed. Live data looked fine and the DPF had last regenerated 124 miles ago and backpressure and soot content looked consistent with each other.
⚙️ On with the clean and the engine quietened down significantly in the first 15 minutes and by the end was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
