⚠️ Like to look after your vehicle? Vehicle not as quiet, smooth, responsive or economical as it used to be?
🚗 Here we have a Mercedes B180 (2015 – 47,089 miles) booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean. The owner clearly likes to look after his vehicles and this one was in good health.
🔎 Initial inspection of the engine bay found no obvious issues with no leaks present and no obvious rattles. A bass purr was present in the engine and it wasn’t as crisp and responsive on the throttle as it should be.
💻 Initial diagnostics was completely clear (unusual for a Mercedes given their penchant for logging the slightest thing), but having been serviced only days previously it was likely the codes if any had been cleared at the service.
📊 Live data also looked good across the board although engine temperatures were a touch on the cool side, but still within tolerances.
👨🔧 On with the clean and the bass note soon dissipated and the throttle response returned and by the end it was quiet, smooth, responsive and economical again.
