đ Here we have a Ford Focus C-Max 1.8 petrol (2004 – 88,981 miles) booked in. Having used us previously on his Ford Focus the owner wanted to get us in on his new acquisition asap before cracking on with any mods.
âšī¸ Already starting to modify it he wanted to get it running sweetly again and diagnose any issues which needed resolving.
đđ Diagnostics identified a couple of issues.
1) A puddle lamp out on the drivers side which was a corroded wire.
2) a misbehaving throttle pedal position sensor
Otherwise the vehicle had the typical bass note from buildup and when driven was sluggish in 3rd and 4th especially.
đ¨âđ§ On with the clean and the engine soon quietened down and smoothed out and by the end was idling lovely and quiet again – all ready for the road ahead and the mods to come đ
