🚗 Here we have a Citroën Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDi (2002 – 118,655 miles) booked in for diagnostics consultation and Engine Carbon Clean. The owner has used us on his previous vehicles and back today on his new acquisition.
🔎 Initial inspection found little of note in the engine bay although the owner had already purchased a replacement MAF sensor which we fitted whilst there. There was a tell tale bass note to the engine from the buildup present.
💻 Initial diagnostics found some codes present mainly down to historic communication glitches which we documented and cleared for the owner.
📊 Live data showed a slight overfuel on injector 2, but not too excessive which may indicate some wear. The thermostat performed well when tested with temperatures keeping between 91-98°C. All other live data looked good across the board.
👨🔧 On with the clean and the engine note soon smoothed out and quietened down and by the end was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
